ILIaD Education Innovation (formerly Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education (CITE))

The current activities of the  Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education (CITE) have now been absorbed into the newly forming Institute of Learning Innovation and Development (ILIaD). This website is therefore in a period of transition, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Higher education is experiencing rapid and radical change, driven by political, economic and technological factors. Our objective is to ensure that the University of Southampton adapts and flourishes in this new environment through innovation, research and the practical application of leading-edge ideas and technologies. Examples include our network of student ‘Innovation and Digital Literacies Champions’, our support for mobile learning through the ‘iPad coffee club’, development of systems such as eFolio and EdShare, and our work on developing MOOCs with Futurelearn.
